THE CHANGE

Discarding her past
In the inbetween time
Where it is murky and grey
though golden hues hint
of the magic she has acquired.

She recreates herself
From once a beautiful butterfly
Comes a soul deepening
Growing a new kind of wings
Wings with wisdom and vision

The Change of Life is a physical transformation. It is a time for self-reflection, but most importantly the pause of menses. It is known that blood holds deep wisdom. From the primordial ooze to the glories of everlasting life she carries her wisdom within. Her gaze towards even more enlightenment holds promise that she will create a new life free from the past, full of the essence of Goddess—unconditional love and service to others.

WHOLE NEW WORLD
The angel of darkness offers the vision of the birth of a new world. This dark angel wears a cloak and a veil, but she is no longer hiding behind them. She asks that you nurture this new world like you would a new born baby. Treating others with kindness, gentleness and understanding will lead to forgiveness and unconditional LOVE. It is powerful magic! Dedicated to those who sacrificed their lives September 11, 2001.

GOD'S SUMMER
She is abundant and filled with the harvest of life. God's Summer is one of a series of untraditional images of the feminine that remind us to bring nurturance, compassion and heart into our daily lives. She exemplifies courage, and wears it as a halo as symbolized by the mane of yellow hair. The circles and spirals are the goddess signs of eternal life, death and rebirth. Her swirling blue dress is indicative of the waters from where all life has begun and since neolithic times has represented the "mother," from where all life derives. She is fruitful in all her ventures and in the scene she is always inspired to action by the bull, an ancient symbol of the masculine. The sunflower guides her into the light. Magic occurs when we open to life.

STREWING MERCY
Her compassion for living beings and her desire to save them from suffering is her reason for strewing mercy to the world. Her love heals at the source of dis-ease, bringing health, strength, longevity and beauty. When we operate from this space of compassionate love we offer the vision for inner and outer peace.

In many eastern cultures there was a female figure called Tara, which meant to strew. The goddess Tara is a multifaceted deity within Tibetan Buddhism. Her name can be translated and interpreted in several ways for the term Tara also means star, and is associated with the polar star, the primary tool used by travelers to guide them onto a correct path. Her role varies with the culture and many maintain her as the saviouress, (the female side of Buddha). In India there was a Sun Tara, a Moon Tara, Gold Tara, etc., twenty-seven Taras in all. Three times nine goddesses whose sacred numbers are three and nine, and who are said to be the Creation of All Things. She eventually became the goddess of other cultures and went by the names of Tana, Ana, Diana, Ana, Anna, Anu, Danu.
She is an enlightened being who is the perfection of compassion and wisdom that is ever present within every sentient being. The word Tara itself is derived from the root (to cross), hence the implied meaning: the one who enables living beings to cross the Ocean of Existence and Suffering. She is understood to be working on three levels; working to advance the enlightened state of all sentient beings, a fully enlightened being herself, and as a great mother.

There is a tinge of sadness in this Tara, but she brings the knowledge, that as Joseph Campbell, the great investigative mythologist said, "...live joyfully in a sorrowful world."

DANCE LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING
Women have understood for centuries that dance is the motion of the creation of life itself. Our bodies move with the rhythm of life. Creative dance employs our sexuality in a way that makes it feel like a magical spell, and women have used this form of dance to empower themselves and communicate this power to allure and tame the spirit of man. The dancer with the ancient dress is a culmination of world cultures. Her headdress is circled in Damiana, a flower whose essence is related to sexual prowess. Her bamboo decorated skirt represents the symbol of sex in the East. Her dark hair and fringe balance the light she carefully juggles. She dances as if no one is watching.

BE THE CHANGE
Life is a dance and all change is good. Transformation is inevitable and does not have to be traumatic. Within the stages of metamorphosis there are keys to creating and manifesting anything. Shed the old and come into the new. You can co-create your own changes and your future. The butterfly is a powerful symbol in myth and symbology and was often a symbol of the soul. Black and yellow butterflies were associated with the fairy realm and the nature spirits. She has the wings of the Luna Moth, a species of butterfly that has feathered antennae. Antennae are symbols of higher consciouness, intuition, and the feeling aspect that links it with psychic abilities in mystical traditions. As we move into the Aquarian age we have the chance to open to our powers of telepathy and communicate in new ways. What else would you like to change? Be the change you wish to see and become a witness to the change joyfully!

"MARRY ME," SAID BEAR
Beloved relationship means having a balance. I began this painting with the shape of the yin-yang symbol for a balanced energy. Women play a crucial role in relationship. We are the nurturers, the ones who feel deeply and compassionately. Men are evolving along this path as they call up the feminine energies within. Although they may sometimes act like growly bears underneath that man mask, they are and can be just as compassionate as women...let us join these two energies, masculine and feminine, to enhance our relationships with our partners and others in our world.

gaiaharmonica.jpg

GAIA HARMONICA
Initially commissioned to represent the Venus Transit of June 8, 2004, considered to be an event that is a breakthrough for INTUITIVE awareness into Oneness.

Gaia Harmonica is the energy that is vibrating to us the call for the awareness of a new world view of Oneness through global communication;communication by the means of the human intuitive system and not one of technology. She speaks about the awareness of a field of consciousness that favors telepathic communication that will transform Gaia into a new being, and a major step in the development of the Global brain. Sychronicities will increase and feelings of connectedness will be on the rise. This emerging field of telepathy will open us to the ability to know more about ourselves and others. Imagine a world without secrets. What would life be like if intentions or thoughts can not be hidden? Having clear visibility would give us more of a choice as how to relate to others. Honesty and truthfulness will breed love and harmonious relationships and a feeling of oneness. Relationships between people or groups will begin to harmonize to the degree where we truly understand that hurting another is the same as hurting yourself. We can begin to become one in a very real sense where everyone would be attuned to everyone else as well as attuned to the purpose of the cosmic plan. Eventually those not aligned with the higher good will be unable to break through this field of oneness. The co-creation or a conscious participation of the emergence of this new field of awareness may be preparation for the next transit that occurs on June 6, 2012. If you truly want to live in accordance with this harmonizing it is important that this includes a balance of communication between your left and right brains. This is a major collective push towards mass enlightenment and harmonizing your life with the greater whole.
